2024 has been an incredible year of learning & growth for us, as we explored new techniques & new proteins, and we are thankful & appreciative of your support, feedback & reception.
At Quǎn, we are a small team, anchored by our 3 4-legged QC officers, who are at the core of everything that we do. We are a small business with big dreams and ambitions to better enrich our furkids’ lives. Our goal is to better & raise the bar for natural & minimally processed dog treats in Malaysia (and hopefully, beyond our shores), and we are confident that we are doing just that, while keeping treats fun & functional.
Sourcing has always been the most important aspect of what we do, because the quality of the finished product is only as good as the quality of the meat & animal parts that go into our machines. Nothing makes us happier than to know that your pup enjoys their treats from us, because we know then, that we have done something right.
Our QC officers take their jobs very seriously, and rigorously test every batch that comes out of the machines – we don’t only make treats for your pup, we make them for our pups too! Our QDT promise holds true even after all this time – we will never feed your dog what we do not already feed our own.
We will never give your dog meats, fish or other ingredients from dubious sources that we will not otherwise put into their meal bowls. 2024 is the year where we solidified our sourcing, to ensure that our raw material sources are able to keep up with our demand, and we are able to source raw materials in an attainable & sustainable way. With over 30 SKU in our store (and growing) and 10 different types of protein, it has been a challenge, which we have taken head-on with larger freezers and finding more reliable farms, butchers and fishmongers.
2024 has also been a year of community, as we work hand-in-hand with independent feeder & rescuer, Shan of Woof My Roof (@woofmyroof) to help give back to the less privileged dogs in a sustainable, long-term way, to ensure that they will not want for treats or minimally processed meats. To date, in the 6 months since we started our initiative, she has over 40kg of Chicken Fillets with Parsley pledged by us, that is used to treat & supplement the feeding of the stray dogs in Kapar, Klang; and we have given over RM3,000 and helped raise over RM4,000 towards Trap-Neuter-Release & medical assistance. This Quǎn Cares initiative is one we will continue into the new year, and we are thankful for all the generous people we have met along the way.
