Organs

Animal organs are very beneficial for our dogs, as they are nutrient-rich and nutrient-dense, offering up concentrated amounts of vitamins & minerals. They are an essential part of a dog’s daily diet, and should be included in their meal bowls for a more balanced diet.
While raw or cooked organs can be hard to handle for some, having them available in shelf-stable single ingredient treats can be handy.
As organs are very nutrient dense and rich, some dogs may have tummy upsets if they aren’t used to eating it, or if they eat too much of it. For that reason, we advise feeding organ treats in moderation. Our single ingredient organ treats may also be used to supplement meal bowls when preparing a balanced meal for your dog.
NOTE: While liver is a very nutritious organ, we choose not to process liver into a single ingredient treat as it is very easy to over-feed and unbalance your dog’s diet. Liver is very rich in Vitamin A, which is a fat soluble vitamin and any excess is stored in the body and organs. This may lead to Vitamin A toxicity, pancreatitis, vomiting or diarrhoea.
