To celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, here at Quǎn, we present Bak Zhang Chookies!, the reimagined bak zhang (zong zi) glutinous rice dumplings, for our canine friends.
At its base is ground chicken neck, the core of our Chookies! treat. In this limited edition item, the ground chicken neck is mixed with duck egg, fresh shiitake mushrooms, prawns and a dash of cinnamon & fennel powder, and then topped with a chunk of pork loin.
Each Bak Zhang Chookies! captures the essence of the Hokkien zhang, and it even smells like it! To lend authenticity, the inside of the bottle is lined with a dried bamboo leaf (not edible).
Now, your pups can enjoy their doggy version of bak zhang that is starch & grain-free, portion controlled, and easily stored at room temperature.
