A boneless chew that is hard when dried, yet softens in contact with saliva, as your dog chews. The hard texture scrapes teeth to keep it clean, and the chewing stimulates saliva to keep the mouth, teeth and gums healthy.
We process buffalo tendons from the hock tendon – a tendon from the back legs of the buffalo. This is a tough connective tissue that provides structural support to the animal and does a lot of work. These tendons often come in a Y-shape due to the way it is found in the body.
Due to the size & hardness, we recommend it for medium to large dogs. However, if your small dog is used to chewing (and not chomping) they may enjoy it too.
Buffalo tendon is rich in collagen, glucosamine & chondroitin that offers some benefit for joint health. The chewing also keeps pups busy and offers up mental enrichment, as the chewing action is calming.
RECOMMENDATION: We recommend offering the Buffalo Tendon for chewing sessions of no more than 20 minutes each time. If not finished, the chew may be swapped out with a high value treat, and kept in the fridge/freezer for up to 2 days, and offered again another day.
NOTE: Please offer chews under supervision, especially if your dog is not used to chewing. Half-eaten chews may be removed and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days only.
NOTE: Not recommended for dogs that gulp or swallow. Hold it to teach them to chew, or use a chew holder and always offer treats under supervision.

Due to the nature of the raw material, the product may differ in size, appearance, colour and design from batch to batch. We guarantee a minimum weight to avoid misunderstandings. We will source the best quality buffalo hock tendons available locally and any visual irregularities do not affect the quality of the finished product.
RECOMMENDED STORAGE: Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 2 months. May be refrigerated or kept in freezer.
RECOMMENDED DOG SIZE: Suitable for medium to large dogs. Not recommended for dogs that gulp or swallow treats whole.
