WHOLE MACKEREL WITH HEAD & BONES

Our whole mackerel is sourced flash frozen whole, leaving the fish as fresh as the day it was plucked from the sea. We gut and clean the fish, removing the innards, before drying it on low heat to make it shelf stable.

Mackerel is a small oily fish that is rich in vitamin B12, vitamin D and Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 is essential for healthy skin and coat and heart health, fights inflammation and is easily digestible.

As mackerel is a small fish, we offer it whole, with head, tail and bones intact. The fish is halved, for ease of feeding. The bones are edible, and are not too hard or difficult for most dogs. However, supervision is recommended, if your dog is not used to eating a fish whole.

Our mackerel treats may be served up as a treat, or added into meal bowls to boost their meal times with a natural source of Omega-3. It is a little large for cats, but may be broken down or ground up for cats as well.

NOTE: Mackerel comes with head, tail and bones intact. It is an oily fish, and will naturally have a stronger fishy smell. The fish will crumble and flake, so avoid feeding on carpets and feed on easy to clean surfaces.

NOTE: Whole fish naturally comes in varying sizes. We offer up 2 whole fish in each pack, with a minimum guaranteed weight so there are no surprises. Fish comes vacuum packed for integrity. If you order multiples and request minimal packaging, it will be packed into bag and may crush in transit.

RECOMMENDED STORAGE: Once opened store in airtight container in a cool, dark place for up to 2 weeks. Refrigeration recommended.
