tāng is the Chinese word for ‘soup‘, which is what this is – soup for the doggy soul.

To round off your pup’s Chinese New Year festive meals, serve up a warm bowl of tāng to settle their tummies.

Made with just filtered water, trout frames (the meat was used to make freeze-dried trout) and some fresh, warming ginger, our broth is made over 2 days, with fat cap removed before being packed and frozen. As trout is an oily fish, some oil will remain on the surface of the light broth.

We also have Fish Broth and Rabbit Broth as permanent fixtures.

This light broth is only available for self-collection from our office as it is kept frozen until delivered to you.

Once defrosted, the broth is liquid at room temperature. We keep the broth light so it can be enjoyed daily in generous quantities.

Our goal is to make a broth for dogs (and cats) that is easy on the wallet, nutritious and not high in histamines. For this reason, we do not include apple cider vinegar in our process, and we do not boil it for longer than 2 hours. Learn more about why here.

Our tāng may be used as a cool treat on a hot day or to hydrate meals. Serve it from the fridge or warm it over the stove, or add a little hot water to warm it up before serving.

Once defrosted, keep refrigerated and consume within 3 days. It keeps frozen for up to 3 months. You may defrost and pour into ice cube trays to freeze for easier storage and feeding.
